What India have not achieved yet in the presence of Master Blaster

All of us know that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is one of the greatest batsman ever in Cricket history. But both Sachin's cricket fan and also Sachin is waiting for that day when he will bring One Day World Cup to India.Sachin is currently 36 year old and his age can support only him to play forthcoming One Day World Cup 2011.What a mishap associated with Sachin is that India could not win a World Cup when Cricket's legend batsman is playing for them.
So let us hope that he will perform well in forthcoming One Day World Cup and will make the way for World Cup to make a comeback to India after 1983.

Right said Vikas, and this deficiency somehow makes Sachin's cricketing career ordinary. Don't misunderstand me, but legends are expected to steer the ship to glory as well.

Good topic, we all and himself would dearly love to see the cup in his hand as a fitting finale to the career of a genius. Another genius of his era also didn't have the chance to cherish that moment...none other than Brian Lara.

Its true.. And even the master blaster himself is desperate for it. But u shud also not forget that except the 07 WC, Sachin has been in great form in all the world cup he plays. And cricket being the team game it is, India still haven't achieved the CUP. And even this time, the whole team has to perform.. and not just Sachin.

A Bisht,
Welcome. There is no deficiency in Sachin's cricket just a mishap associated. In 2007 World Cup India was very near to win World Cup.Sachin performed well in nearly all matches except when India desperately need his good batting,I am talking about final match.

Baiju,
Yeah.We will love to see him holding World Cup:)

Trideep,
Yeah.We are not questioning Sachin's batting. He is great all of us know. It's just a mishap that India have no World Cup despite of his presence. We just want world cup in his presence whether he perform good or average.

Vikas, that wasn't 2007, it was 2003, in 2007 we were knocked out by Bangladesh, remember...? :-)

Yeah it was in 03 when India reached the finals and the pitch looked like a fine batting strip though Ganguly took the option of bowling first and Ritzy scored a fine century. To be honest Tendulkar and co. had too much to do and India lost.

I do hope the great man ends his career with a world cup. I don't think Tendulkar and co. would get a better chance than the 2011 world cup as the tournament is held again in the subcontinent. I know that Gatting and co. surprised India in the 87 world cup and batting second on a spinning track didn't help at Calcutta in 1996. So maybe India would be third time lucky!
